I absolutely love the Zagreus x Hippolytus!son of Theseus reader work. I was hoping you could offer some more headcannon on his and zagreus relationship. Such as when they become consorts, or when Theseus walks in on them being intimate, or learning that they are together. Or having zagreus face Hippolytus!reader in the coloseum since he is one of Elysium champions. I just want to read more about this ship.
Awwwww that's so nice of You! I Guess that is fair that in the original Work i talked more about Hippolytus and Theseus, now is time to talk more about Hippolytus AND Zagreus!
Zagreus x Hippolytus! Reader: general Headcanons
Genre: Headcanons
Reader: male
Warnings: some mild violence and spoilers from the Game, some references to the Myth of Hippolytus. Fluff. Rivals go Lovers, Friends to Lovers.
• Zagreus believed that he had already surpassed everything that Elysium had to offer: carouses, mortal butterflies, soldiers, etc.
• However, something new was never expected to appear.
• Especially not in the coliseum.
• Zag had enough of Theseus's endless talks and his overflowing ego. So when he heard that a third champion was coming back (who had taken a break for unknown reasons) Zagreus was genuinely mentally preparing for a Theseus Junior.
• So he went to the Colosseum with heavier feet than usual, preparing himself for the headache he would face.
• First he had to go through Theseus and Asterius as always. Theseus revealed some interesting information to change something, even if only. The third champion was HIS SON. Which only made Zag's fear of running into a Mini King intensify. More after seeing how presumptuous Theseus was with said son.
• When Zag FINALLY managed to defeat Elysum's two champions. The door opened, but for another person to enter.
• A young boy, with armor... different. He looked like something out of the Amazon islands, with a long spear and a shield. With choruses of people in the stands shouting his name “Hippolytus”
• What surprised Zagreus the most was the boy's face. He had a hardened, cold and angry expression. Like he was irritated to be there.
• Zagreus tried to joke a little and officially introduce himself to this Hippolytus, however, the response he got from him…
• “You are the “daemon” the king talks about, right? ...you must be a very good fighter to kill him...make him angry like that...don't disappoint me"
• That was one of Zagreus' most complicated fights in a while.
• At least with his other combatants he knew what to expect, but this guy was totally new, and he was making the most of it. He not only used his weapon and help from the gods Artemis and Ares, but also his own fists.
• Once one blow connected, another went, and a kick, and another, arrows of Artemis, bloodbath of Ares—
• Although it had to be recognized.
• No matter how difficult the fight was. It was also very fun.
• Zagreus never had such a raw fight, and honestly the son of Theseus was exceeding all his expectations.
• And he could see that he was having fun too. The more blood he drained from Zagreus, the more blows they received and dealt, the bigger the smile on Hippolytus's face became.
• It was a very close fight, however, all it took for the winner to be decided was for Hippolytus to throw Zagreus to the ground, and he LOST IT.
• Hippolytus gave him a flurry of punches like he had never done before out of excitement, finally someone who wasn't boring! Finally, someone worthy to fight!
• Hippolytus decided to finish off the prince in an unconventional way. He took his shield, raised it above his head, and decapitated him with the edge. Sending him back to the house of Hades.
• The last thing Zagreus heard before being taken over by the Styx was a very satisfied Hippolytus, saying something as he wiped the red blood (which oh, how Hippolytus missed) from his face.
• “You were magnificent Prince, you better come back soon”
• WOW, ZAGREUS IS DEFINITELY HOOKED.
• The next few times Zagreus goes to Elysium, you can bet he does so on a light foot, much more excited to interact with Hippolytus.
• The first few times Zag keeps losing, it takes him a few losses to know the exact weaknesses and openings of Hippolytus’s technique.
• Besides, you can take advantage of fights to talk a little!
• Obviously at first it was a bit complicated since Hippolytus only has FIGHT on his mind, but eventually he realizes that no, Zagreus is not trying to befriend him just to beat him, but he is genuinely interested in getting to know him.
• Although of course, this creates a conflict of interest with Hippolytus. He doesn't know if he wants a friendly relationship over the purely aggressive and satisfying relationship they have had until now.
• It's probably on one of those days that Zagreus finally beats Hippolytus for the first time.
• And let me tell you something, losing doesn't feel like Hippolytus thought it would feel.
• He expected to feel angry, frustrated, even sad and disappointed.
• However... knowing that there is someone stronger than him, knowing that there is a new goal to achieve, knowing that he will not be bored anymore. That is definitely PURE ADRENALINE.
• Obviously Theseus did not think the same, for a change.
• Probably the fact that Hippolytus was even maintaining a FRIENDLY relationship with his (crush) rival seemed like blasphemy, but if there was one thing Hippolytus was always good at, it was that he didn't give a shit about what his father said.
• And apparently it's something he shares with Zagreus, surprisingly.
• I like to think that they can meet in a non-hostile way outside the Colosseum, and that is precisely when they talk more and catch up on each other's lives.
• And precisely, thanks to these talks, Zag begins to be curious about why Hippolytus gets along so badly with his father. Obviously he must have his reasons, but why are they still together then?
• When Hippolytus explains the whole situation with Phraeda it probably indirectly makes Zagreus hate Theseus EVEN MORE than he already did :) if that was possible.
• Zag may also obtain fragments of the drama through Artemis being Hippolytus’s Patron Goddess and his older sister figure, so Zagreus sets out (playing psychologist) to help Hippolytus with his situation as the good FRIEND that he is (ouch , that hurt).
• Although of course, he wouldn't mind being something else ;) (Hippolytus: … best friends?)
• Zagreus did not expect that most of his attempts at flirting would be misinterpreted or taken as friendly. That is, until he remembers that he's talking to the guy who took a fucking vow of chastity, so he'll have to be more direct if he wants a relationship with him.
• Which brings us to general relationship headcanons.
• Ironically, Hippolytus is more shy than he seems when it comes to physical or verbal displays of affection, precisely because he never thought he would have a partner and it is something new for him, but he does his best to give compliments and be more physically affectionate (without the need for physical violence first obviously).
• And Zag can't help but find this adorable and funny, this is the same boy who in their first fight decapitated him without thinking. The same boy who turns red as a tomato when they hold hands or when he calls him by a nickname like “love” or “my life”
• (You can bet that the flirting in the arena has increased considerably in recent months. Even if Hippolytus remains cold on the outside, on the inside he's a blushing mess and angry at Zag for this)
• Zag obviously brings certain gifts to Hippolytus , not just Ambrosia and nectar, but I can see him bringing an extra weapon from his storage to see Hippolytus reaction. And listen to him nerd out about said weapon for at least 2 hours. Oh young love.
• Fortunately, Hades cares little or nothing who Zagreus dates as long as he keeps trying to escape the underworld (and Hippolytus continues with his task of “trying to stop him”), Persephone, on the other hand, LOVES the boy, she finds him adorable, like a rabbit angry or trying to be tough.
• Honestly, the relationship between Theseus and Zag does not improve. Not even when he starts dating Hippolytus, if anything it gets worse because he believes that Zag is “taking advantage of his son.”
• Asterius, however, sees the situation for what it really is, and either helps Hippolytus sneak out of his extra training to go see Zag or even distracts Theseus enough so that he doesn't realize that Hiccup is messing with him. said to his room.
• Theseus would be so angry if Zagreus tries to talk to him about Hippolytus, especially if they are fighting, he will bring down the full force of the gods on him.
• (I'd like to say that Zagreus doesn't find this funny... but he'd be lying. He really enjoys teasing Theseus so much)
• Even if they make a commitment not to gouge out their eyes when they are around Hippolytus, they still give each other death glares when he isn't looking. It is the natural order of things.
• Artemis definitely didn't expect Zagreus to end up dating Hippolytus of all people, not in a bad way (vows of chastity are only for couples of the opposite gender after all) but because Hippolytus always seemed very closed off and shy to her. But he is happy to know that his cousin broke down his barriers and helps him be happy.
• Obviously they still spar as a way to pass the time, but now it's much more friendly and less hostile (and little else... suggestive..SKELLY DONT LOOK--)
• (let Hippolytus hug Cerberus, PLEASE)
• Overall, a very fun couple.
Shares, reblogs and comments are very welcome!

I love steam replay cause everytime I think I'm not actually a gamer it reminds me that indeed I play games non stop
Pretty sure in June and August I was playing skyrim (somewhere else not on steam, cough)
I was grinding perfection I forgot that was this year, very proud of myself but the only achievement left is the prairie king one I can't do it 🥲 (I like grinding achievements cause it's an excuse to replay games I've already played)
And then the anual hollow knight grind, one day I'll finish the coloseum, maybe. And one day I'll finish the pantheon 3, maybe
A great year for gaming, most of the time I'm playing casual games tbh (my other most played game was age of empires II) but still, good year.

At the Ultra Coloseum, Grigio starts training with Mebius, who tells her to find her own style or fighting. Also training are Zearth, Nice and Boy, but Zearth and Hice Start arguing and injure eachother, Grigio flies over, heals them, and introductions are made, as Mebius notes her healing could decide the battle. On Planet Gua in the Empire Ruins, Tartarus has Reibatos revive Gina Spectre. Victory Knight, Ginga Strium and Taiga Photon Earth together defeat Bemstar, and claim the Devil Splinter. Taiga is worried by the threat of The Kingdom, but Ginga relates skme inspirational words Taro once gave him.
Ultraman Chronicle D: On Haruki's last day, he and Deban for through their reps, before engaging in manly embracing. As Haruki prepares to leave, they wind up discussing of there's any Over-Technology Marluru could use for new weapons for GUTS-Select, Deban shows some prepared footage of mechanical Kaiju. First it is the battle on Mars that debuted Mountain Gulliver 5, a robot that was actually part of a dream Asuka had. Following that it's the Miji Seijin Robot Garaon. Haruki becomes impressed enough that he decides to try and get a sample of Garaon for STORAGE on the way home.
High School: Thanks to one of the leaflets Ex had with him, Shaberryman has managed to discover the history of Kireko and the scabbard he becomes, allowing them t9 form a plan against MAKO. Daisuke complements the revelation Mako is the new hero, unaware she is being chased by a scary individual, who turns out to be Kitaqman, who takes over her class, Mako initially thinks Ryouko called him in, butnshe's equally confused. Kitaqman's lecture draws in Daisuke in particular, who adopts Kitaqman as a mentor. At lunch, Daisuke asks Mako to meet him the next day, Ryouko and Akine acting quickly to stop Kireko's protestations, but it seems he did this on advice from Kitaqman. Mako angrily confronts Kitaqman on this, only to understand his explanation, then gets mad when he announces her date for everyone to hear. They go on their date at Seki Kagu Okawa Honten, where the Dogengers lived last season, getting a picture with the minitiurised Sekikaguou 208, Ryouko, Akine and Kireko follow them around, as they sit down and Daisuke prepares to say something, the also spying Kitaqman can't contain his excitement, scaring the happy couple, Mako dragging him outside to lecture him, where Kitaqman reveals he's brought the whole team, starting with Tanaka, Great 2 wanting to know why she didn't tell him he knew the others, Yamashiron spots Akine, Fukuokalibur spots Ryouko, Ohgaman asks after the teacher, El Brave let's them know Shinji is getting on well, but she is still annoyed with Kitaqman, right before the arrival of Maid Shitsuji, alongside Uzagi, Shuraomaru, Gulf, Gallia and Nectaris. Mako goes to fight, but doesn't have Kireko, but the Dogengers are ready to handle them. Kireko blows his cover, allowing Mako to change, but she then remembers Daisuke, dragging him to a hiding spot to see her fight. MAKO in turn helps Rookie by holding Gallia as he does Gulf, joins Great 2 against Maid Shitsuji, helps Yamashiron with Nectaris, who takes Ryouko hostage but is knocked away by Sekikaguou 208, helps El Brave out Kage, while Kitaqman steps on Uzagi and rakes SNS pics of them and the inexplicable ref, then interrupts Fukuokalibur and Shuraomaru dualling, before Ohgaman throws everyone around. Everyone delivers a finisher, except Kitaqman who is too busy taking photos, Ohgaman throwing MAKO to take down a Caramis threatening Daisuke. Meanwhile, Shaberryman and Yabai Kamen are investigating some statues. MAKO goes to help Daisuke up, but he impulsively stands up himself to declare his love, surprising everyone. Flustered, she runs to a mirror to check herself before responding, but when she sees her reflection she realises who Daisuke loves isn't Yamada Mako, but the superhero MAKO. When she does return, she doesn't answer him properly before running away, Akine having to stop Ryouko trying to follow. Kireko begs Mako to come out of her room, but she's too upset to do so.
Revice: The Riders have been dealing with the waves of unleashed Giff Juniors, but Ikki feels like enough isn't being done. Akaishi goes public about being alive, claiming to have been saved by Giff, and that Giff won't attack as long as humanity doesn't provoke it. Daiji asks why he's unleashing the collected Akuma, swearing to destroy the ones Akaishi unleashes. A panel discussing Giff is hacked by Weekend, asking people to think and stand against Giff, as the leadership discuss if anything will come of it, Ikki and Masumi arrive, Ikki having a plan thanks to Akemi's message. Sakura and Ikki ask Daiji to join, but he has come to believe they cannot stand against Giff, believing Peace to be more important than Freedom, even as Ikki wants both. George visits Masumi's "grave" recalling visiting it as a child and resentfully wishes he had stayed dead, while looking at his plans for something else. Ikki and Weekend's plan is to capture Akemi, the Giffdemos, and extract her Giff Cells, hopefully curing her and giving them the weapon to fight Giff, George presents an upgraded Barid Rex ViStamp to help freeze Akemi. As more demons appear, Hana and Hikaru are left to face them while the others act to get Akemi. Daiji as Holy Live starts facing the latest akuma to appear. Ikki and Sakura arrive where Akaishi is, he lauds them as Giff's children and summons Hell Giftarian and Giffdemos, Jeanne tries to handle Hell Giftarian, running afoul of it's regeneration, while Revice Thunder Gale handles Akemi. Masumi looks over George's plans for the Giffard Rex ViStamp, which needs an injection of Giff Cells to work, and he doubts he can do it without Masumi. He asks why he injected a human with Giff Cells, Masumi saying he had been weak and listened to the devil, which George doesn't accept. Masumi shows George his face, and while he is shocked by it, he points out Masumi has scarred him as well. Holy Live continues to struggle against Giff Juniors. Hikaru and Hana come to where more Giff Juniors are, Hikaru challenging her to defeat more before they change. As their struggle continues, Revice forces Giffdemos outside, then uses the upgraded Barid Rex, which now puts Vice in Barid Rex as well. Over Demons and Aguilera defeat the Giff Juniors, as does Holy Live, Daiji collapses only to be told of Revi and Vice fighting Akemi and concluding they plan to sacrifice her. Revi and Vice manage to freeze Diffdemos, Akemi again telling them to use her, as the Hell Giftarian defeats Sakura, forcing them to help her, as Akemi thinks of Daiji, Akaishi tells her her job is over, opening a portal for Giff to attack her, at which point Hell Giftarian suddenly vanishes. All of them are confused as Akemi's body starts falling apart, as a furious Daiji arrives, pushing Revi away. Akemi tells Daiji not to push others away for justice, to be a man, before being destroyed completely, to everyone's horror. Daiji blames Ikki for this and punches him down, refusing to listen, and goes to attack again, but a hand catches his fist. A hand belonging to Kadota Hiromi.
Donbrothers: The members who know eachother try to have a strategy meeting at Cafe Donbura, going over what they know, Taro believing their focus should be defeating the leader of their enemies, Sonoi. Haruka tries to get the Master to explain about himself, bit on he defects them to talk about their fifth member, Haruka thinks could actually be a dog. The Master expertly handles an attention-seeking customer. The team ask Taro to offer them praise, rather than just criticism, and he drops dead from trying to lie. Each of the Noto try to approach and interest in the human world, but it's futile. A message is passed on to them by a Noto council via animals, informing them they have identified DonMomotaro as the last survivor of the ruling Don family, who were deposed for disrupting Ideon by pursuing peaceful coexistence with humans. Inuzaka has a haircut and recalls Natsumi telling him about her one time dream of being a beautician, before leaving the salon right before Miho arrives to work. The attention seeking woman goes on a rampage at a store, possessed by ZyudenKi. Sonoi stops a purse snatcher, telling him to reflect on his greed, and happens to run into Taro. The pair discuss lying, Taro recalling how after he came back to life this time Saruhara decided they were going to boycott him until he could show appreciation, and the enemies they have to defeat, unaware they're describing eachother, they make plans for once they've defeated their respective enemies for Taro to introduce Sonoi to Oden. The woman's rampage continues as ZyudenKi, DonMomotaro is dragged to the battle while Saruhara has the others refuse the transformation when the DonBlasters appear. Sonoi interrupts the battle and the two clash, striking at the same time knocks them both back and reverts them. Both are shocked and saddened by the revelation, but Taro asks Sonoi for his name and goes back to the battle, Sonoi having one last question first. DonMomotaro returns to fighting ZyudenKi and is ambushed by Sononi and Sonoza, InuBrother is dragged to the battle, the others arrive to watch, but while Saruhara tells them not to join, he's the one to crack first. They drive off the Noto, then use Robotaro to defeat ZyudenKi, followed by Don Onitanijin to defeat ZyudenKing. As the team watch the victim walk away, DonMomotaro suddenly stumbles, and then Sonoi suddenly appears, slicing down from above. He'd asked Taro his weakness, and Taro had honestly told him that after forming Don Onitanijin he is weakened for a few seconds, Sonoi leaves, and the team is left shocked as Taro falls and vanishes.

Mario Kart Double Dash - 50cc Special Cup Grand Prix (Petey Piranha and King Boo)
Mario Kart: Double Dash (stylized as Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and abbreviated to MKDD) is a 2003 kart racing video game developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development and published by Nintendo for the GameCube (GCN). The game is the fourth installment in the Mario Kart series and the third for home consoles after Mario Kart 64. It was preceded by Mario Kart: Super Circuit for the Game Boy Advance in 2001 and was followed by the handheld game Mario Kart DS, which was released for the Nintendo DS in 2005. Similar to the previous titles, Double Dash challenges Mario series player characters to race against each other on Mario-themed tracks. The game introduced a number of new gameplay features, such as supporting co-op gameplay with two riders per kart. One player drives the kart, and the other uses items. It is the first game in the series to use 3D polygon graphics for the racers, as opposed to sprites. Players can switch at any time. Double Dash is the only game in the Mario Kart series to allow cooperative gameplay so far. Double Dash supports LAN play using the Nintendo GameCube Broadband Adapter, allowing up to 16 players to compete simultaneously. There are 20 characters to select from in total, each of which with a special item, and with eleven characters being new to the series. Double Dash received positive reviews from critics; it attained an aggregated score of 87 out of 100 on Metacritic. Reviewers praised the graphics, new gameplay features, character and item rosters, arcade aesthetic and track design, but elements of the voice acting were poorly received. It was commercially successful, with more than 3.8 million copies sold in the United States, and more than 802,000 copies sold in Japan. It is the second best-selling GameCube game of all-time, selling around 7 million copies worldwide, behind Super Smash Bros. Melee. hey everyone look at my babies
very brief backstory:
ring - looks like they could kill you, would actually kill you. was one of the candidates as the Hollow Knight. their horns block like 90% of their vision, but that wasn't why they were discarded. ("why" would be the time ring kicked the pale king in the shin because he earlier rammed his leg into a table and made a funny noise, and they wanted to hear it again) they spend time at kingdom's edge, typically in the stands of the coloseum of fools. overall a lone wolf, and a bit of a sadist.
totty - looks like a cinnamon roll, would actually kill you. after escaping the abyss, they wandered far, far away from hollownest, and came across a mysterious colony, all clad in colorful suits and technologies hollownest could only dream of... after gaining a suit for themself, totty quickly intergrated into the group. they have especially taken to a vr game that's popular in the culture, even winning a few crowns for themself! but the people talk of imposters, and totty will not let themself fall victim like their siblings had...
marvele - looks like they could kill you, is actually a cinnamon roll. the EPITOME of "no thoughts head empty". they managed to escape the abyss fairly early on, and ended up following groups of civilians who were fleeing to distant kingdoms. they drifted from camp to camp in the wastelands for many years, and entered a ring of crimson tents on a lark... a previous incarnation of grimm saw the vessel, and offered them some of the soup the troupe was eating, as she assumed their staring was a plea for food. marvele had never eaten before. but everyone was bringing the stuff to their face, so naturally they shoved their head into the bowl they were given! ... grimm lost her shit and started cleaning them up, and brumm decided to get the face paint. it wasn't until a couple years later that marvele was officially inducted to the troupe as a errand runner, stage hand, and person-who-gets-knives-thrown-at-them-sometimes. (the angy eyebrows drawn on their face were originally a prank from other grimmkin, but They Liked It Actually.)
indigo - looks like a cinnamon roll, is in fact a cinnamon roll. they escaped very, very late into the infection, and eventually made a home in the ruins of the rich sector of the city of tears. they now just kinda vibe there, doing things like Gathering Nice Robes and Reinventing Therapy Animals. (i haven't fleshed out indigo nearly as much, stuff may change. i still lov them.)

“The Black Stallion” is interesting because the first major conflict of the story involves Alec getting shipwrecked on a desert island with a dangerous but Incredibly Cool wild horse and then after they get back to New York it’s just WILL THE BLACK STALLION GET HIS PAPERWORK IN ORDER SO HE CAN RUN IN THE BIG RACE??
Also a snippet from the summary of the latest book in the series: “Chasing an elusive albino mare, the two find themselves caught in an underground river which drops them, half-drowned, beside a city lost in time. Revered at first, they soon discover that they are intended as the entertainment at a horrific ritual . . . sacrifices to the legendary flesh-eating mares in the coloseum of King Diomedes.”

Day 1:
Holy shit theres so much blood
Intoner mode is sick
HER WHOLE ARM??
What a fucking introduction Mikhail gets…
Oh you sweet baby boy
The dialogue in this game lol “the slutty one”
Why must I fight the camera angle in every Yoko Taro game
Wait Accord is mentioned in Replicant in Yonah’s journal snippets?!?! Shes here too???
Everyone is horny for Zero as she cuts them to pieces
I’v lost track of the number of times an enemy spins in the air like a pinwheel when I kill them but it amuses me
Mikhail is a sweet angel and just wants good things for everyone, reminds me of Emil T-T
I love the balance Zero’s character has in trying to shut down Mikhail’s childishness but clearly failing. She tells him he smells like rotten fish and calls him dummy and he laughs at her then she cracks a joke with him. I love them both and I will suffer for it later.
I cannot fight in the air
I get to fight in the Roman Coloseum??
Ha ha very funny
OH MY GOD SHES NOT DEAD?!?
This child needs some serious help and therapy
“Dito became your disciple” I’m sorry he WHAT NOW?!? I just watched this tiny child obliterate his last master and we decide to ADOPT HIM???
Dito … is a child right???
“What’s a kink?” “You don’t need to know” what is this game??
HER OTHER ARM?!?
Whatthefuck D:
“Yay we are going to Mt. Whatever!” I love you Mikhail
I love that they low key break the fourth wall to talk shit about Yoko Taro regarding the game design
I can handle the battles but I suck at shooting and aiming
The battleship fight is cool visually but I want to die trying to aim this damn thing
I am sorry the Intoners and disciples are bonded by what now?!?
I appreciate the subtle calling of bullshit on the split personality thing, also Zero is a badass
“Go clean up. Front AND rear. We meet tonight” I genuinely have no words for this, I just put the controller down and walked away for a second
So let me get this straight… our team currently consists of the resident badass dom woman hellbent on killing her sisters for a yet to be known reason, a sadistic teen who derives pleasure from inflicting pain and is obsessed with pretty things, a burly man who definitely got railed night one as per the previous point and is absolutely a masochist, and also the resident innocent sweet boy Mikhail who does not know what the hell is going on and has to ask questions like “what’s a kink?” or “what’s a fetish dungeon?” Only to be rightfully shut down by Zero because he is actually a baby. None of this is an exaggeration and those are legitimate lines that were said. What - and I say this with all my heart - THE FUCK - is this game?? Am I loving it so far? Absolutely. Was I prepared for it? No fucking way. Somehow someway despite how weird it is I’m actually really enjoying the characters.
I’ve watched the scene with the fairy king numerous times and it still kills me. The little run Mikhail does when he runs towards Zero is priceless
Gunna end it there for today and boy was this eye opening.
Starting my playthrough of Drakengard 3!
